The first few minutes of the ride were in silence. Casey’s eyes moved from one brother to another, that tight, hot feeling radiating out from between her legs.

She wanted them—she wanted them all. She’d been trying to ignore it, but being so near to them, being wrapped up in their scents, she knew she couldn’t resist.

As wrong as she knew it was, Casey couldn’t help but want her fantasy to come true. What would it be like to be with all three of them at once?

What would it be like for all of them to imprint on her?

The idea stopped her short, made her mouth open slightly in surprise. Imprinting, the bonding of an alpha to an omega, was a one-on-one process. The idea of it being between several wolves, all for the same female, was unheard of.

But the idea wouldn’t leave her mind.

“You don’t look like your head’s in the game, Case,” said Jake.

Casey shook her head, snapping back to the moment. The van rumbled along.

“Just thinking about everything that we need to do,” said Casey. “Over the next week.”

“Don’t think like that,” said Hunter. “You focus on the task at hand. Once that’s done, you move on from there.”

“Right,” said Bryce. “Planning shit too far out is the fastest way to have all your plans shot to shit. We’ve got the raid tonight, and if that goes fine, we figure out our next step.”

Casey didn’t bother to argue with them. After all, she’d lied about what was on her mind.

The van came to a stop, and one of the betas up front banged on the wall separating the driver’s side from the back.

“All right,” said Jake. “Let’s fucking do this!”

The four of them climbed out of the van and into the woods. Off in the distance, the lights of the Moon Beasts territory glowed. Casey wasn’t scared in the slightest—she was ready for the attack.

“OK,” said Jake. “We shift, get in, get what we can, and get out. No screwing around.”

A boom blasted through the air, followed by a crack of lightning in the sky above. Casey looked up to see that the sky was thick with storm clouds moving fast overhead.

“Shit,” said Hunter. “That’s something we didn’t count on.”

“Nah,” said Jake. “I knew a storm was coming—that’s why I picked tonight. It’ll give us cover for the raid.”

  “Then let’s move,” said Bryce.

The brothers shifted into their wolf forms, and Casey did the same. Together, they took off through the woods, racing among the trees.

Casey realized that she hadn’t had the chance to run in a long while, to be in her wolf form, nothing but her and the trees. But she wasn’t alone, of course. The brothers were with her, their powerful shapes moving so quickly that she struggled to keep up.

Before too long, they reached the edge of the Moon Beasts grounds. The brothers stopped and shifted back, Casey doing the same.

“There it is,” said Bryce, pointing to a building up ahead, a barn not unlike the one on their property.

“Good,” said Jake. “Plan is, we break in, take their shit, and torch the fucking place on the way out.”

“That’s not going to draw too much attention?” asked Casey.

“It might,” said Hunter, but we’ll be long gone by the time it happens.”

“Yeah,” said Jake. “And we want to send a message that the Redtooth pack isn’t going to sit around and wait—we’re on the offensive.”

Casey nodded, still feeling nervous about what was to come. Before they could start, another peal of thunder rang out, this time accompanied by a heavy fall of rain.

“Shit,” said Bryce. “Might fuck with us torching the place. But we’ll do what we can. Come on!”

Together, the four of them, still in their human forms, started toward the building. There were wolves on the grounds, but most seemed to be more concerned with taking shelter than standing guard. Soon the group was up against the wall, inching toward the entrance.

Bryce was the first one at the door. He opened it slowly, another crash of thunder sounding out. By this point, Casey was soaked, and when they moved into the building, she was relieved to be out of the rain.

“Ho-ly shit,” said Bryce. “Look at what we have here.”

  “Wow,” said Casey.

The place was packed with goods. There was food, medical supplies, car parts—everything that they’d need to stay in good shape for the time being.

“Come on,” said Hunter. “Let’s not waste any time.”

They grabbed as much as they could, slinging it into the mesh bags that the brothers had brought with them. When they were loaded down, Jake pulled a book of matches out of his pocket and set to dousing what was left with the contents of a nearby gas can. Once that was done, he tossed a lit match onto the gas, the place going up almost instantly.

“Hell yeah,” said Bryce. “Burn, baby, burn.”

The guys laughed, slapping one another on their backs.

“We need to move,” said Casey. “If they didn’t know we were here already...”

  The brothers nodded.

  “Yeah,” said Bryce. “Come on.”

The group headed out the way they’d come in, the fire raging behind them.

As soon as Casey crossed over the threshold to the outside, the storm still raging, a voice cut through the air.

  “There they are!”

  Fuck.

“We need to move, now!” said Casey.

She shifted, the brothers doing the same. They took off through the woods, and as they did, she glanced back to see a pack of wolves after them, snarling and barking as they gave chase.

The four of them ran hard, rushing through the rain and wind, more lightning illuminating the night sky.

Casey’s heart pounded. She was an omega, and stronger than the average wolf, but no match for the alphas that were likely on her tail.

Her legs pumped underneath her, and right at the moment she felt like she’d put some distance between her and the wolves, a blast of lightning, the noise deafening, smashed into the tree ahead. It split and cracked, falling toward her.

She tried to get out of the way, but the braches falling down over top of her were the last thing she saw before a blackness enveloped her senses.

  CHAPTER 10

  JAKE

He laughed when Casey shot up in bed.

“Wha-what?” She looked around frantically, trying to figure out where she was. But Jake chuckled.

He knew she wasn’t in bad shape—the branch that had fallen on her had only managed to knock her out.

  “Where am I?”

“Easy, easy,” he said, coming over and sitting down on the edge of the bed. “You’re fine.”

She looked stressed out of her mind, and seeing her like that was enough to make the situation slightly less humorous. But he knew she’d be OK once she’d come to her senses.

  “What’s going on? What happened?”

“You’re safe,” he said. “That’s the first thing you should know.”

“And where’s everyone else? What happened?”

Jake glanced aside, trying to decide where to begin.

“How about this—you tell me the last thing you remember?”

Casey closed her eyes, trying to think.

“I...I was running through the woods with you guys. And there was a thunderstorm. Then lightning hit the tree and it broke into pieces and fell onto me.”

Jake laughed again. “I think that about does it.”

  “Then what happened?”

“The rest of the guys stopped, but the Moon Beasts were right on top of us. I told Bryce and Hunter to lead them away while I got you. And that’s the last I saw of them.”

  “Are they all right?”

“They’re fine. Got a text from Hunter letting me know they made it back to the Redtooth grounds. Even got the supplies back, too.”

Casey let out a sigh, and Jake put his hand on her back, tryi
ng to ease her stress.

“That’s...good,” she said. “But where are we now?”

“The storm was getting crazy. Needed to find somewhere to take you. Happened to find this cabin in the middle of the woods. Lucky, huh?”

Jake looked around. The place seemed to be abandoned, and he guessed it was a cabin that had belonged to one of the other packs, likely in some territory that had gone back and forth enough times between the packs to let whatever was there fall into disrepair. But the roof held, and there were some supplies. It’d be enough to get them through the night.

“But wait,” said Casey. “You...saved me? You brought me here?”

“Sure did, Case,” he said. “Carried you through the damn storm—a storm that’s still going on, by the way. But don’t worry about making it up to me. My pleasure. And we can say you owe me one.”

  Jake winked at her.

“Thanks,” she said. “That was...stupid as hell of me. I should’ve been faster, moved out of the way and not—”

“All right,” said Jake. “No beating yourself up about it. Not all of us can be a star athlete.”

Another wink, this one bringing a smile to Casey’s lips.

  God, she looks good.

Jake was trying to keep things chill between them, but man was it hard. Her clothes were soaked, the fabric of her shirt clinging to her full breasts, the nipples poking through. She’d been out for a good hour, and he knew it’d be a bad idea for her to spend that much time in soaked clothes.

Sitting there next to her was enough to put his cock at half-hard. Jake had always taken pride in his ability to keep himself in check, to never lose control. But being there with Casey put all that to the test.

“What are you looking at?” she asked.

Then she glanced down at her soaked tits, realizing right away what it was. Her hands shot to her breasts, covering them up.

“Ugh, Jake,” she said. “Fucking pervert. And you’ve always been like that, you know?”

Jake laughed. “Oh, you’re already bringing up the past?”

She sighed, her hands still on her tits.

“Hold on,” said Jake. “Let me see what’s here.”

Behind him, a fire crackled in the fireplace. It’d taken him some doing, but he’d finally managed to get it going after putting Casey in bed. The cabin was a little run-down, but between the fire and the rain outside, it struck him as actually a little cozy.

He stepped over to a nearby closet and opened it up. Inside were a few old boxes and—to his surprise—some clothing. Most of it was men’s stuff, but he found a flannel robe hung among it all. He took it out and set it on the bed next to Casey.

“There you go,” he said. “Put that on while your stuff dries by the fire.”

  “And what about you?”

  “I’ll be fine.”

  “Always so cocky,” she said.

“What, you think I might’ve changed?”

  “Would’ve been a nice surprise.”

Casey got out of bed and grabbed the bottom of her shirt. But she stopped before she did.

  “Turn around, bud,” she said.

“What?” said Jake, shrugging his shoulders. “Nothing I haven’t seen before already.”

“You saw it one time,” she said. “And I’m pretty sure we were both so drunk, you don’t even really remember.”

Jake flashed her a grin. “Trust me—I remember.”

“Perv.” She was trying to act indignant, but Jake spotted a hint of a smile on her lips as he turned away to give her some privacy.

As she changed, Jake went through the closet. Inside, he found a pair of cargo shorts, along with a white, sleeveless undershirt. Wasn’t much, but he figured it’d be enough until they got back.

He pulled off his wet clothes, tossing them into a pile in front of the fire. When he was down to nothing, he turned and spotted Casey staring at him. Her green eyes went wide as she realized she’d been busted, but Jake wasn’t bothered.

  If anything, he was amused.

“Who’s the perv now?” he asked with a grin.

  “It’s still you,” said Casey.

“But you were the one staring.”

“I wasn’t staring at, um, your...”

  “My what?”

  “You know.”

  Another laugh.

“You know,” he said as he stepped into the shorts and threw on the shirt. “This was the same shit we dealt with back in high school.”

Casey gave him a confused expression. As she did, Jake couldn’t help but notice that her robe was open enough that he could see most of her tits, along with an upside-down-triangle-shaped strip of skin that went all the way to her waist. Jake grinned again, and with a huff, Casey cinched shut her robe.

“What?” she said. “You being a full-of-yourself jackass?”

Jake stepped over to the fire, picking up their clothes and hanging them on the backs of a pair of nearby chairs.

“Nope. I mean you being totally fucking into me and acting like you weren’t.”

“I’m not into you,” she said. “And I wasn’t back then.”

Jake dropped down into a sitting position in front of the fire, the flames warming his back.

  “Is that why we screwed?”

He was having fun with her, busting her balls in the way he’d always done.

Casey stepped over to the stove, shooting a hard glance in Jake’s direction. Once there, she found some tea packets along with a pair of mugs, and set to putting a kettle on the stove.

“No,” she said. “We screwed because I got stupidly drunk one night.”

“And then what, you got so hammered you tripped and fell right onto my dick?”

Another grin. Casey sat down next to Jake.

“I’m only sitting next to you because of the fire,” she said.

  “I’m sure.”

Her being near him was enough to make his cock stand at attention. Out of the corner of his eye, he could see the cleavage of her full, ripe tits. And this time, she didn’t bother to cover up.

“Anyway,” she said. “You always teased me in high school, called me a nerd, a bookworm, or whatever else mean shit you could think up.”

“I was only having fun, you know,” he said. “I wasn’t some kind of bully.”

“You were a dumbass jock. You thought because you were Mr. All-American Athlete, you were the most important guy on campus. Managed to trick a few other girls into thinking the same thing.”

“A dumbass? I’ll take ‘jock,’ but ‘dumbass’ is a little rich.”

“How about ‘jackass?’ That might fit a little better.”

“Yo, Case,” said Jake. “What’s the story? I mean, it’s easy to act like you were the poor awkward teen and I was some jerkoff bully, but that’s not how it was.”

  “Is that right?”

“Yeah. I was in sports, sure. And I was with my share of girls, fine. But that doesn’t mean I was an asshole. You just bought into that tired cliché of how if some guy’s a jock, then he’s automatically a prick. Easy thing to do, I get it.”

“But...you were fucking mean to me, all the time.”

“It’s called joking around. That’s how I am with all my friends. And it’s especially how I am with my brothers.”

“So you were just joking around with me because you wanted to be...friends?”

He laughed again. “Believe it or not, yeah. And that’s what happened the night we hooked up. We were drunk, sure, but you got all in my face, trying to have some big moment with me. And I invited you to hang out. Wasn’t even trying to screw you.”

  “Sure.”

“I mean, I thought you were hot as shit, sure. But that wasn’t my goal. So, we hung out, and we had fun. And then one thing led to another. Because that’s what happens when guys and girls hang out.”

“You think it’s as simple as that?”

“It’s as simple as that. I liked you, Case. And I know you liked me
back. Sure, maybe I was a little hard on you back then, but it was all in good fun.” He grinned. “And you can’t tell me now you’re not thinking the same thing.”

“What, about how much of a jackass you are?”

“No, about how much we’re still into each other.”

Casey’s eyes went wide, and Jake knew right away he was onto something. And he was bold, ready to push forward, to break down her barriers.

Jake reached and took her hand. Casey’s eyes met his, and he could tell she wasn’t sure in the slightest of what to make of this.

“Case, I care about you. I did back then, and I do now. I was a jerk, sure. But if there’s one thing this whole mess has taught me, it’s that it’s time to grow up.”

“You mean...not chase everything with a pair of legs and a skirt?”

“We’re the same pack, Case. And we’re going to need to stick together through all this. And more importantly...you’re going to need protection.”

  “What kind of protection?”

“A man to protect you. I know you’re capable of handling yourself—it’s a big part of the reason why I’m so into you. But I want you to know I’m going to be looking after you. Nothing’s going to happen—not while I have anything to say about it.”

Jake glanced down and saw that Casey hadn’t taken her hand from his.

He decided to push things just a little further. Jake reached and placed his hand on the back of her head, weaving his fingers into her hair. Again, she didn’t move, only locking those green eyes onto his.

“Tell me what you want, Case,” he said, his voice low and sensual.

  “I want...”

“Because I want you. And I didn’t realize how badly I did until I saw you again. I’ve never stopped wanting you.”

She chewed on her lower lip in a way Jake couldn’t help but find impossibly sexy.

He knew he couldn’t resist her any longer.

Jake leaned in and kissed her. Casey’s body stiffened at first, and for a moment, he thought she might pull away. But she didn’t. Instead, she fell into the kiss, her mouth opening slightly as he pulled her close until her body was flush against his.

He could feel her breasts through her shirt, feel her chest rise and fall. Jake put his hands on her waist, moving up until he was at the opening of her robe. Then, with a smooth motion, he opened it up. Casey sighed as the robe fell to her hips, her breasts exposed, her nipples pink and hard.
